Snap Definition

 

Snapping is the attraction of the cursor to a ruler division. When creating new objects, and when moving or sizing existing objects, snap locks the cursor to the nearest ruler division. The snapping action is turned on or off with the Snap to ruler command in the File | Options dialog, in the Rulers and Grid Settings section.
