Bounding Box Definition

A bounding box is the smallest rectangle with vertical and horizontal sides that completely surrounds an object. All portions of the object lie within the bounding box. The bounding box of a selected object is indicated by selection handles.

The Plot is selected
In this example, the Graph
object is selected. The
bounding box surrounds
the entire graph.
